Pathogen-targeted immunotherapy

Most anti-infectives target the pathogen directly. TaBriX targets the mechanism pathogens use to evade immune clearance.

By inhibiting bacterial phosphatases such as PtpB, we restore the host’s intracellular clearance pathway, enabling faster and more effective elimination of infection

Indication: Non-tuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (MAC and MAB)
Modality: Oral, first-in-class small molecule
Stage: Preclinical

Preclinical evidence includes:

• Reduction of chronic infection in animal models
• Reduced pathology and tissue inflammation
• Improved efficacy in combination with standard of care antibiotics
• Excellent tolerability in chronic dosing

We are progressing TBX-4881 towards:

• Completion of preclinical studies
• Orphan drug designation
• IND-enabling package
• Phase 1 first-in-human trials

Our discovery platform is based on 20 years of research into the role of protein phosphatases in infection.

These enzymes are conserved in multiple antimicrobial resistant pathogens, creating opportunities for pipeline expansion across bacterial and fungal infections.
